SRFI - INDIAN JUNIOR RANKING GUIDELINES 2011

- The SRFI will publish a junior ranking quarterly in January,
April, July, October in the following categories - boys and girls
Under 11, Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19. The beginning
of the 1st ranking period will be July 2011.
- The ranking will be for the top 8 players in Girls Under 11,13,15,17,19
and Boys Under-11 and the top 16 players in Boys Under 13,15,17
and 19.
- Each player will be ranked in a maximum of 2 age groups.
- The rankings published will be considered as the national ranking,
however these are to be used as a guide rather than for direct seeding.
Players will not selected to represent India purely on the basis
of these rankings.
- The basis of the rankings will be:
- Results in Junior Nationals.
- Results in preeceding 12 months in International tournaments,
SRFI recognised tournaments (as on the SRFI calendar) and selection
trials.
- Head to head results will be considered wherever available.
Wherever head to head results among players is variable, the
decision of the SRFI Ranking Committee will be final.
- Any objections of any player’s ranking / date of birth / other
must be communicated to SRFI through your recognised/affiliated
State Association in writing.
- The Ranking Committee may adjust these guidelines as they
monitor the operation of the Ranking during the introductory
period.
- The Ranking Committee is as follows – Cyrus Poncha
(Chairman), Avinash Bhavnani, Dr. B. I. Singh, Dalip Tripathi,
Hari Om Tripathi & Dhiraj Singh.
